Consultation

£225 for UK residents

€260 for Ireland/EU residents

When you attend for a Consultation with us, you can choose to focus on Autistic Experience alone, or Autistic and ADHD Experience. This option will be given to you in our Booking Form, and if you decide to look at ADHD in more detail, there will be additional ADHD specific forms to fill in.

We do not currently provide Consultations focussing on ADHD alone.

If you self-identify as, or otherwise believe you are Autistic and/or ADHD, this consultation is an opportunity to meet with one of our psychologists online for an exploratory, one-hour conversation. We make this a safe space to discuss the ‘What if…?’ and ‘Does this mean…?’ type questions you may have if you think you may be Autistic and/or ADHD. In conversation with your psychologist during your consultation, you can discuss your experience and work through whether this, as well as any of your characteristics or personality traits align with Autistic and/or ADHD experiences. You can also explore the potential pros and cons of formal identification by assessment. After this exploratory conversation, there is no expectation or requirement to pursue our Collaborative Identification assessment process. This is your decision to make.

The price of our Consultation reflects the time and consideration spent reading and processing the information you provide before the consultation even begins, and the high level of support you will receive.

While useful for exploration, a Consultation does not provide enough scope to explore all the relevant aspects of your life for official identification. It is only after a full assessment (collaborative identification) process that official documentation confirming your Autistic and/or ADHD identity is provided as proof of assessment.

To secure Consultation, simply click the ‘Make a Booking’ button below and you will be navigated to the forms section

Important Notes:

  1. It is not necessary nor required to have a Consultation before your assessment, though it is possible to transition from Consultation to assessment, without additional waiting

  2. If you ultimately decide to go ahead with Identification, the Consultation fee is deducted from the Identification fee

  3. Due to high demand for our services, a cancellation fee for individual sessions will be applied if less than 48 hours notice is given. If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment or fail to attend without notifying the psychologist, a fee of €75/£65 will be charged

  4. You do not need to complete the forms in one sitting before your autism consultation with our team based in UK & Ireland (you can save and return); however, unsubmitted forms are automatically deleted after 60 days and cannot be recovered. Please ensure to submit your completed forms within 60 days

  5. If you are Ireland-based and wish to claim on private health insurance, you must choose a Chartered PSI member. You will be given this information clearly when booking your consultation. Residents of both Ireland and the UK are welcome

I was so unsure at the beginning whether I was doing the right thing or taking the right steps, but being able to talk through my thoughts and worries during the consultation session was incredibly helpful. This helped me clarify whether I wanted to proceed with the full assessment and how I would feel about the potential outcome of this process. Never once was I left wondering what was going to happen next or where I stood; not only was I provided with an abundance of information and resources, it was always ensured that any adaptations or supports I needed were taken care of, without hassle or fuss.
