Leora completed the Doctorate of Counselling Psychology at Trinity College Dublin and has experience working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan
She has worked in primary, secondary, employee wellbeing, and hospital care settings. She has a Masters in Applied Psychology from Trinity College Dublin and a B.A. in Psychology and Anthropology from Mount Holyoke College
Leora has worked therapeutically with people experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties. Her clinical training was integrative, upon a person-centred, humanistic model that emphasises building a therapeutic relationship between psychologist and client focussed on respect, empathy, and collaboration. She works within a trauma-focussed, feminist framework that integrates aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (a CBT). She has a particular interest in working with people who have experienced stigma
She has experience identifying Autistic adults and has a specific interest in working with people raised as women and with the LGBTQ+ community. She is also interested in the intersection of disordered eating and neurodivergence
Leora lives by the sea with her wife, two children and two cats
