Donna is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council
Donna has experience working across a range of settings and is passionate about working with and supporting individuals who identify as neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+
Donna began her journey toward becoming a Clinical Psychologist by completing her BSc (Hons) in Psychology at Ulster University. She then completed an MSc in Applied Psychology at Trinity College Dublin, and an MSc in Childhood Adversity at Queen’s University Belfast. Most recently, Donna completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast. She has worked across a range of different services responding to a broad rage of needs
In addition to her role with The Adult Autism Practice, Donna also currently works within a therapeutic service for children and young people in the care system. This involves supporting children or young people directly, as well as their families, foster families and the wider professional networks and systems around the child or young person. Donna is passionate about promoting accepting, affirmative and strengths-based practice across her professional settings
Donna’s therapeutic stance is integrative, trauma-informed and celebrates difference. She is passionate about creating a relationally safe space for individuals to explore their potential Autistic identity and promotes LGBTQIA+ safe environments. Donna is a clinician who is committed to learning from and being guided by the Autistic community and is passionate about working within a neurodiversity-affirmative framework
