Fiona is a Clinical Psychologist and Graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland
Fiona began her Psychology studies in 2009 at the University of Limerick, where she obtained her BSc. in Psychology. Following this, Fiona completed her Masters in Clinical Applications of Psychology at the University of Warwick in 2014. Before completing her doctoral training at Trinity College Dublin from 2018-2021, Fiona gained experience working across a variety of settings (HSE, NHS, & voluntary organisations). Fiona has worked as a support worker with Gheel Autism Services, working alongside Autistic adults from a person-centered, neurodiversity affirmative approach. Fiona also spent some time working as an Assistant Psychologist with the Autism service at St. Michaels House disability service
Throughout her doctoral training at Trinity College Dublin Fiona completed placements in Adult Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Disability services. Fiona also completed a specialist placement within a Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder team. In addition to her work with The Adult Autism Practice Fiona is also currently working within a Community Child and Family Psychology team
Fiona is passionate about creating a safe, trusting and non-judgemental space between her and her clients during the assessment process. Fiona places value on the building of a therapeutic alliance that encompasses empathy, respect and collaboration. She is committed to completing neurodiversity affirmative assessments where strengths of individuals are emphasised and differences celebrated
