Dr Gillian Murphy
Senior Clinical Psychologist
Dr Gillian Murphy is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with The Adult Autism Practice with experience working with adults, children and their families in a variety of clinical settings, including mental health and disability services.
Gillian completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in UCD. She also holds an M.Sc. in Neuropsychology, a Higher Diploma in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology and Political Science and Applied Maths Science. Gillian completed research in UCD and the University of Bristol in attentional differences in neurodivergent children and the role of the neurotransmitter dopamine in decision making.
Gillian began working with autistic children and their families after completing her doctoral studies and alongside her work in The Adult Autism Practice Gillian currently works with autistic children and their families in the public sector.
Gillian is passionate about supporting autistic children and adults to be themselves and live their lives to their full potential and aims to support people through neurodiversity affirmative assessment and support.
