Jennifer is an Educational Psychologist, registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council
Jennifer's journey in the field of psychology began with her undergraduate studies at Newcastle University, where she obtained a first-class (Hons) degree in Psychology. She furthered her academic pursuits by completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Durham University. Recognising the importance of research and evidence-based practice, Jennifer then went on to pursue a master’s degree in education research at Newcastle University before completing her Doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast
Jennifer has experience of conducting assessments and therapeutic interventions with children, young adults and families. Jennifer’s professional interests lie in working systemically to promote the wellbeing and inclusion of individuals, particularly those experiencing emotionally-based school avoidance. Her therapeutic interests include cognitive behavioural and play-based approaches
Jennifer approaches her practice with a strong commitment to ethical principles, empathy and professionalism. She endeavours to establish a trusting and non-judgemental rapport with her clients, implement evidence-based methods and remain updated on the latest research and therapeutic techniques. Working with The Adult Autism Practice, Jennifer hopes to work collaboratively with individuals to explore and make sense of their lived experience in a compassionate and empathetic way
