Lorraine is a Counselling Psychologist and Graduate member of the Psychological Society of Ireland

She has experience working with both children and adults within HSE primary care services and is currently working with students in the Trinity College Dublin, Student Counselling Service

Lorraine’s experience as a psychologist includes working therapeutically with a diverse client group using an integrated approach that incorporates psychodynamic psychotherapy, emotion-focused therapy and CBT through a foundation of person-centred therapy. Lorraine’s work is grounded in the creation of a safe, collaborative and neuro-affirmative therapeutic space. In addition to her one-to-one therapeutic work, Lorraine has experience facilitating group therapy with LGBTQ+ students, delivering didactic parenting groups and carrying out cognitive assessments. Lorraine believes passionately in the transformative power of a therapeutic relationship that is based on empathy, respect and authenticity

Lorraine has obtained a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College Dublin, a Masters in Applied Psychology and Mental Health from University College Cork and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Trinity College Dublin. As part of her undergraduate degree Lorraine studied abroad at the Freie Universität Berlin
