Luke is a Clinical Psychologist with 7 years’ experience of working in various mental health settings

Luke earned his initial Psychology degree (B.A. Applied Psychology) in University College Cork and his Masters degree (M.Sc. in Psychological Science) in the University of Limerick. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych) in University College Dublin

Luke has gathered experience across a variety of services. He has worked in community (Primary Care and CAMHS) and hospital environments (Inpatient and Outpatient services), as well as university and prison settings. He most recently worked in the paediatric oncology ward in CHI Crumlin. He has also worked across the lifespan, from young children to older adults

Luke has received two Early Career Research Awards from the Division of Clinical Psychology within the Psychological Society of Ireland for his research with refugees and asylum seekers, and for developing a novel parent-child therapy group. He has presented these findings at national conferences

Luke’s professional passions include working with young people and adults in the area of trauma, acceptance, and shame. His passion for supporting adults to understand their neurodivergent identities is grounded in the fact that a positive identification experience can leave a lasting impact how the individual makes sense of their identity. As such, creating a warm atmosphere with curiosity and acceptance is central to his therapeutic approach, underpinned by the belief that all of us flourish within safe and supportive environments

In Luke’s spare time, he enjoys running, going to the cinema, and is an avid gamer!
