Senior Counselling Psychologist

Tara is a a Chartered Senior Psychologist, working in the public sector since 2007. She has experience from a variety of settings, including primary care and adult and child mental health services

Tara obtained her honours bachelor’s degree from Dublin Business School in 2002 and her Master of Science in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College in 2005

Tara has experience supporting people through anxiety, low mood, trauma, adjustment difficulties, bereavement/loss, relationship difficulties and many other life challenges

Tara is passionate about neurodivergent voices and advocating for neuroaffirmative practice. Tara values the importance of ongoing learning and is a longstanding member of the PSI’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) committee. She has been responsible for the upskilling of many professional colleagues in attachment training, play therapy, compassionate focused training and has brought international speakers to Ireland to share their expertise

Tara’s ethos is one of compassion, understanding and integrity. She understands how daunting it may feel embarking on this journey of self-exploration and supports people in becoming their authentic selves
